Urbandale Middle School Bell Schedule 2025-26
Our UMS school day is from 7:55 a.m. – 3:05 p.m. This graphic shows the times of each class period for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in a seven period day. Lunch takes place in thirty-minute blocks during 4th and 5th period. Please see below for an explanation of the content within the graphic.
All Students start the day in Connections
All students start their day in Connections Class from 7:55 – 8:10 a.m.
Passing Time
All students have four minutes to move from one class to their next class (i.e. a 4-minute passing time).
Period 1
The first class period is scheduled from 8:10 – 9:01 a.m.
Period 2
The second class period is scheduled from 9:05 – 9:56 a.m.
Period 3
The third class period is scheduled from 10:00 – 10:51 a.m.
Lunch / Periods 4 and 5
6th Grade Lunch
6th grade students have lunch from 10:55 – 11:25 a.m. They then go to 4th Period from 11:29 – 12:20 p.m. and then to 5th Period from 12:24 – 1:15 p.m.
7th Grade Lunch
7th grade students go to 4th Period from 10:55 – 11:46 a.m. They then go to lunch from 11:50 – 12:20 p.m. and then to 5th Period from 12:24 – 1:15 p.m.
8th Grade Lunch
8th grade students go to 4th Period from 10:55 – 11:46 a.m. and then to 5th Period from 11:50 – 12:41 p.m. They go to lunch from 12:45 – 1:15 p.m.
Period 6
The sixth class period is scheduled from 1:19 – 2:10 p.m.
Period 7
The seventh class period is scheduled from 2:14 – 3:05 p.m.
